LAS VEGAS — Can high tech pajamas help you sleep better? Under Armour thinks so.

The sportswear company unveiled a new line of “sleepwear” at CES that it says will help athletes feel better when they wake up in the morning. Those benefits won’t come cheap, however. The so-called Athlete Recovery Sleepwear starts at $80 per piece.

At first glance, the PJs looks like average — if silky smooth — sleep clothes. What makes them special (and worth the big price tag, according to Under Armour), is the special pattern woven onto the inside of the pajamas. Read more…

The smart ring packs just about everything you could hope for in a fitness tracker into a tiny circular package — minus a display, of course. But if you’re looking for a compact, discrete wearable, who needs a screen?

The titanium ring, which comes in either slate gray or rose gold in seven sizes, uses three sensors (an optical heart rate sensor, a 3-axis accelerometer and a smart LED sensor) to keep track of its wearer’s activity and heart rate at all times. Along with standard fit tracking measures like steps and calories burned, its heart rate sensor gives additional insight to keep up with resting and active heart rate.  Read more…
